南洋柯氏公会每年都会颁发奖学金给成绩优异、品行良好的会员子女们，旨在鼓励他们努力学习、品学双修，将来为国家和社会做出贡献。
我会为学术成绩所设立的奖学金分六个组别，即小学、中学、工艺教育学院、初级学院与高中、理工学院以及大学组。
除了求取知识以外，我会也关心会员子女的体能训练，因此，从2021年开始增设了体育卓越奖，以奖励赛场上的运动健儿。
教育体系不断改进，我会文教股也与时并进，随着小一和小二生豁免年终考，我会也改而向所有完成小一阶段的会员子女发放鼓励奖，为他们踏入校园加油打气，鼓励这群国家未来的小主人翁能够善用这笔奖励金多购买课外读物，培养阅读的兴趣。
至于完成小二阶段的会员子女，日常课业与操行优良者也颁以奖励金作为嘉奖，让他们信心满满的升上小三。
“老吾老以及人之老，幼吾幼以及人之幼”虽然是一句老话，却是我会秉持的服务宗旨。
欢迎所有柯氏姓宗亲加入我们新加坡南洋柯氏公会的大家庭，不单单是为了申请奖学金，更是为您的子女打开一扇寻找宗亲的大门，让他们成长之后有更多亲密的伙伴。

This ceremony is unlike any other. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we were unable to invite our fellow friends from other associations as well as the chairman and directors to attend the ceremony. It is our honour to be able to have our Advisor and Real Estate Trustee Geok Lin as well as Honorary Chairman Tiong Guan attend the ceremony. We are extremely grateful for the flower basket presented by the Xin and Cai Clan Association to the two honorary presidents of our association.
On January 24 2021, the 47th Executive Committee alongside the 16th Youth Group of our association organised an inauguration ceremony which was held in our auditorium. The guest of honour, Dr. Sin Tze graced our event.
During the ceremony, the Association abides strictly to the safe-distancing measures charted out by the government. The ceremony has been scaled down and procedures simplified in compliance with the measures. After the oath, Chairman Jianqiang delivered a speech which outlined the association's goals and aspirations. The association has welcomed on board 4 new clansmen and is extremely happy to inject new blood into the association. The chairman hopes that with young blood and veterans working together, the association can achieve greater heights.
At the end of the ceremony, Honorary Chairman Tiong Guan donated $10,000 to the Education Fund, pledging his hopes for the futures of the younger generation. Chairman Kian Keong received the cheque on behalf of the association while Dr. Sin Tze expressed his heartfelt gratitude for this donation.
The chairman hosted the new council members, as well as friends from Xin and Cai associations at the Taoyuan Restaurant for lunch. It has been a long time since everyone has seen each other due to the pandemic, making this occasion all the more momentous.
Cultural and Educational Activities
Hello fellow members!
The Nanyang Kuah Si Association awards scholarships to the children of its members with outstanding academic performance and good conduct every year. This is with the aim of encouraging them to study hard, cultivate their character, and make contributions to the country and society in the future.
The scholarships for academic achievement are divided into six categories, namely primary school, secondary school, institute of technical education, junior college, polytechnic and university.
In addition to the pursuit of knowledge, physical health of the children is extremely important as well. Therefore, starting from 2021, the Sports Excellence Award will be introduced to reward athletes.
The education system has continuously improved, and the cultural and educational unit of our club has also kept pace with the times. With the exemption of primary one and two students from the year-end examinations, the club has also issued encouragement awards to all members’ children who have completed the primary one stage to cheer them on when they step into the campus. This is to motivate this group of future leaders of the country to make good use of this reward to buy more reading materials and cultivate their interest in reading.
As for the children of members who have completed Primary 2, those who have excellent daily schoolwork and conduct are also awarded bonus money, so that they can be promoted to Primary 3 with confidence.
All family members with the surname Kuah are welcome to join our big family of Nanyang Kuah Si Association, not only to apply for scholarships, but also to forge meaningful relationships with others.
Due to the epidemic, I will issue scholarships in 2021 without any ceremony. I hope we can resume the award ceremony in the near future. The following video is the online award ceremony for middle and primary school students in 2020. I hope you will like it.

2022 Primary and Secondary School Scholarship Awarding and Dragon Boat Festival Gala
On the evening of the 21st March, the annual scholarship awarding ceremony for primary and secondary schools and the Dragon Boat Festival Gala were held in the auditorium of the Association. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the assiociation has not held any physical activities for two years. As the government eases restrictions on activities, we finally ushered in the first Dragon Boat Festival Gala and Scholarship Awarding Ceremony.
Upon arrival in the evening, the buffet had just been set up, and there were as many as ten kinds of food suitable for the young and old, along with a wide variety of desserts and fruits. The hall was full of at least eighty or ninety members of our association who enthusiastically participated in this gathering. Everyone has not seen each other for a long time, and they greeted each other enthusiastically, including members who have just joined the association and who stepped foot into the association for the first time.
The ceremony officially began with the commencement of the buffet. Zhiqiang, the deputy general manager and director of the Youth League, served as the master of ceremonies. Some quizzes about the Dragon Boat Festival and the game of guessing the singers of old songs were held.
After the show came to an end, the award ceremony for the Primary and Secondary School Scholarship was held. I was very happy for the students as they came forward to receive the awards.
After a game of colourful beads, the event ended successfully. We hope that in the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, the association will be able to gather together again and have more interesting activities to celebrate the festival!

2022 Mid-Autumn Festival
The Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration Gala and Awarding of 2022 University/Polytechnic/Junior College Scholarships will be held on 3 September 2022. The party was hosted by Brandon, head of the Youth League.
As in previous years, the guild ordered a sumptuous buffet and purchased rich lucky draw prizes. Various exciting and interesting game shows at the party attracted the active participation of adults and children, and the children also experienced the fun of setting off fireworks on the fourth-floor rooftop of the guild for the first time.
There are two winners in the University/Polytechnic/Junior College category in 2022. They are Lam Zi Hao in the University category and Kua Huai-En in the Junior College category. At the Mid-Autumn Festival Gala, Chairman Jianqiang presented checks and certificates to the two outstanding students on behalf of the association, and Dr. Quah Soon Ee, director of the Cultural and Educational Unit, delivered a speech on behalf of the Cultural and Educational Unit.
Membership Meeting and Chinese New Year Luncheon
On February 12, the 2023 Annual General Meeting was held as scheduled, with a total of 46 members attending. The directors/representatives of each unit of the association made a report for each unit in 2022 for the clan members.
After the successful conclusion of the general meeting, there will be a Chinese New Year gala luncheon. The association invited the clan members of Singapore Ji Yang Cai Clan Association and Singapore Sing Sih Association to celebrate the Lunar New Year at the clubhouse. The directors of the association also specially prepared a special program: Xiao Wei, the deputy director of the foreign affairs department of our association, dressed up as the "God of Wealth" and gave red envelopes to each clan member on the spot. The "God of Wealth" accompanied by the New Year's song "Sparkling Debut" was warmly welcomed by the clan members. After the luncheon, the association gave each attendee two tangerines, wishing everyone good luck and success in the new year!

Inauguration Ceremony of the 48th Executive Supervisory Committee
The inauguration ceremony of the 48th Executive Supervisory Committee and the 17th Youth League of the Association will be held in the clubhouse on January 8, 2023. Honorary Chairman Ban Cheong of the Association is invited to be the supervisor of the oath ceremony.
The Executive Supervisory Committee is honored to invite Dr. Ker Sin Tze, the conference affairs consultant of our association, the head of Geok Lin PBM, the honorary chairman Poh Kok and Hock Su, etc., to visit the clubhouse to observe the ceremony.
After the inauguration ceremony, Chairman Jianqiang hosted a banquet in Tung Lok Restaurant to entertain the clan members of the Singapore Sing Sih Association and Singapore Ji Yang Cai Clan Association, directors of our association, members of the Youth League and other guests.

Revision of Constitution
With over 60 years of history, parts of the Association's Constitution have become outdated in many aspects. The Executive Committee proposed to revise the Constitution during a meeting in early 2021, hoping to sort out a charter that conforms to the current times and improves the operation process of the Association.
The Constitution revision started in April. After a three-month duration of preliminary discussions by a group consisting of Consultants, Chairman and Vice-chairman of the Association, Chairman of the General affairs and Finance Sub-Committees, the Executive Committee made the final review. The revised Constitution was unanimously approved by the Committee.
The revision of the Constitution in 2021 is a major event of the Association, and we hoped that it will be passed at the annual general meeting in 2022 in order to better serve the members.
2022 Annual Pension
In order to maintain the fine tradition of respecting the elderly, the Kuah Association will issue an annual pension to the members who apply before the Lunar New Year every year. The details of the pension to be distributed in 2022 are as follows
